Enniskillen Castle Museums
Enniskillen Castle beside Lough Erne in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh once the stronghold of Maguire chieftains. The castle’s history can be traced from its beginnings as a Maguire castle until its use as a barracks in the 1700s and 1800s. Fermanagh Museum has award-winning displays which gives insight into Fermanagh’s natural history, archaeology and rural lifestyle. The castle keep houses The Inniskillings Museum and life size 15th/17thc models in the vaults. Special exhibitions. Shop. Wheelchair access limited. € Accepted. Open all year.
